Building Experience

Building the camper was generally not particularly complicated. The bottom of the van was the least interesting part of the building process. The most enjoyable parts were building the engine, the front, and the interior. Building the bumpers was somewhat tricky, and they break more easily because they are mainly stacks of individual bricks mounted sideways on the camper. They fall off quickly. The instructions are, as always, easy to follow, although I sometimes found it difficult to distinguish between gray and black. The building process does not feel repetitive; the engine, interior, and the cabin of the van were the most enjoyable parts. The side and bottom were somewhat dull, and the roof was a bit disappointing, except for the fabric tent.

Details and Design

The set is full of great details. The engine at the back is a standout highlight and looks really cool. When you open the hatch, I find it a nice touch that you can see the engine inside. The interior features nuances like seats that can be transformed into a bed. Upfront, there's a gas and brake pedal, for example. I find the design quite impressive.

The set is entirely focused on display or building and not on playability. Although there are some moving parts, such as the seats and doors, the set is not sturdy enough for play. The bumper and slanted white parts next to the windows break off easily. My children have broken parts off multiple times within minutes.

Given the number of pieces, the details, and the building experience, I find this set absolutely worth its price. The focus is clearly on building and display. It is a set that deserves to be admired on a shelf or in a showcase.
