The Ghostbusters Ecto-1 is a set that I once received for my birthday. The set contains the fun Ecto-1 car and of course the 4 Ghostbusters figurines. This set is based on the Ghostbusters movie from my time, 1984. Which of course I know very well, and loved as a child.

Building experience

It is quite a fun little car to put together and certainly not too difficult. My daughter was also able to manage this set just fine on her own when she was 9. There is quite a bit of variation in the set and there is little repetitive work, which keeps the building fun to do. The result really does look a lot like the Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters. Making the figures was a bit less my thing, but they do look nice.

Details and design

The car itself has quite a few parts on the inside such as a steering wheel, a small screen and the Ghostbusters can sit in it, which is quite suprising in such a small car. Because of the somewhat small parts you get a nicely detailed whole on the roof of the car. This was certainly one of the more fun parts to build. All in all, a pretty fun little set to do.
