Build Experience

The building process is quite dull and repetitive, mainly due to the stalks.
It's an easy set that can be quickly assembled, but I wonder why this set has been given the "8+" and 40646 "18+" age classifications. It's a fast and easy build, but not much more challenging than that.

Details and Design

The set consists of three flowers, one of which is a closed bud. The petals of the flowers can be slightly twisted to arrange them more appealingly, but that's where the variation ends.
The petals of the open flowers do fall off quite easily, but that doesn't matter if the flowers are placed in a vase. The design is visually attractive, but not particularly exciting.

Overall Verdict

This set is nice for a brief and easy build, but don't expect an impressive building experience or complex mechanical components. The result looks beautiful, but building the stalks is somewhat dull and repetitive.
We had this set together with set 40646 in a vase, quite amusing.
